People First Fire will be expanding our emergency response training to include the South East Pylon of Sydney’s iconic Harbour Bridge. This expansion includes the Luke Mangan restaurant, a pop-up restaurant with spectacular views, located 134 metres above the harbour on the top of the South East Pylon.
The partnership between the Sydney Harbour Bridge and People First Fire began in 2019 when we delivered specially designed, Emergency Plans, Procedures and Guidelines for the Bridge Climb, along with Emergency Response Training for the Arches.
Being a unique facility, the Emergency Plans, Procedures, and Guidelines (EPPG) developed by PFF for the Bridge Climb required additional work from our qualified consultants to come up with Emergency Response Guidelines and staff training that would be effective in helping ensure the safety of climbers and Bridge Climb staff in the event of an emergency.
The world-famous attraction welcomes visitors from all over the globe and as part of our commitment to safety, this expanded training will ensure that everyone who visits or works at this unique facility is safe and knows what to do in an emergency said PFF General Manager Dean Broadwood.
“With an ever-growing population of local and international tourists visiting the bridge each year, it is vital to provide them with a safe experience – and that starts with having a well-prepared team who know exactly what to do in an emergency situation.”
Bridgeclimb are also leading the way in safety by incorporating the latest Emergency Evacuation technology App, R U OUT.
